We understand technical translation to be a translation in which the original text to be translated contains language with many technical words and phrases for a specific sector.
At Eikatrad, our translation agency in Barcelona, we are experts in technical translation and every year we carry out hundreds of this type of project. Thanks to this experience, we have been able to perfect the selection and translation procedures for each project.
Our technical translation team is composed of graduates in translation and/or engineering, and they are always native speakers of the language to which they translate. For each project and depending on the sector, we select a specific translator from our headquarters in Barcelona.
A translator being an expert in technical texts does not mean that they are prepared for any type of technical translation. For example, if a translator has experience in mechanical engineering translations, we cannot assign an architecture translation project. Each sector has its specific vocabulary and it is essential to be fluent in its use. Eikatrad’s technical translators only translate technical documentation from the sectors in which they are experts.
At Eikatrad, we also work with technical glossaries, created by us or provided by the client. We like to work hand in hand with the client and we are in permanent contact while carrying out our translations so that any questions that may arise does not have any negative impact on the final translation.
